Key Benefits and SupportWindows™ 2000 Migration Solution Skeptical about migrating to Windows 2000? Concerned about the learning curve, training and budget implementation? Don't be. ImageCast IC3 v4.0 eases the headache of migration, such as, performing extensive backups, or running dual boot systems during migration. Moreover, ImageCast IC3 has been extensively tested with Windows 2000 Professional and it is Windows 2000 compliant, which means ImageCast IC3 can gather and restore Windows 2000 Professional images. ImageCast IC3 supports the Microsoft System Preparation tool for Windows NT and Windows 2000 systems allowing the workstations receiving the model image to receive their own unique security ID (SID).
The Standalone Client is used to create an image of your hard drive for disaster recovery. The image file can be saved either to a second drive on the computer or to a networked drive and then restored when needed. Use the ImageCast IC3 Control Center and Multicast Client to transfer images to hundreds of hard drives simultaneously. The newly
designed, wizard driven Standalone Client makes disk-to-disk copying Standalone
mode enables you to duplicate entire hard drives across a network one
at time or duplicate individual partitions by using command-line switches.
Larger image file distribution can be spanned across multiple media such
as JAZ, ZIP and IOMEGA drives or burned to CD-ROM if you do not have Network
connectivity.
Designed from inception around TCP/IP protocol, ImageCast IC3 uses pull technology to transfer images to hundreds of hard drives simultaneously. The same Network bandwidth is used to transfer one or hundreds of Clients. You can set up or reconfigure multiple systems in minutes instead of hours or days. All
multicasting operations are performed from the ImageCast IC3 Control Center,
a graphical interface that acts as the "communications center" for all workstations
participating in multicasting operations. Following the deployment process, you can facilitate network workstation setup by having ImageCast IC3 automatically enter unique network parameters for each Client after it is imaged. When Post Configuration is successfully completed, all target systems automatically log onto your network after rebooting. In addition to network parameters, you can also edit or add any registry keys or values placed to each Client.
With
ImageCast IC3 you can clone 500 PCs in 7minutes and automatically save
an additional 5 minutes per workstation using Post Configuration to setup
the unique User Name, Computer Name, IP Address, Windows Serial Numbers,
Registry Settings, Time Zone settings, and more. The ImageCast IC3 SID (Security Identifier) Creator automatically assigns a unique SID on each Windows NT and Windows 2000 workstation "on-the-fly" after imaging. The integrated SID replacement utility eliminates the need to run a separate SID replacement utility on each workstation. Use AppImager to create images of "software installs" and then sends these images down to individual workstations to be deployed. It's an easy way to give everyone the applications they need. It also allows you to create self-extracting packages of applications, device drivers and other updates. With
the new StorageSoft System Agent, an administrator can remotely perform
operations such as sending and executing multiple files and applications
right from the ImageCast Control Center, without user interruption. System
Agent can even query PCs for hardware and O/S configurations, network
connection and memory and storage usage.
From the Control Center, commands can be sent to individual or groups
of workstations. And once
